Similar to currency watermarks, this P3 patented feature places simple logos, state seals and/or text into the card core. Our watermark can only be seen with a light source. Ideal for high security applications as this is NOT a printed feature.
UV Ink can be printed onto any card formulation as a covert security feature that can be viewed under a black light source. Short, Mid and Long Wave spectrum is available in Blue/Green, Yellow or Red. Dual-fluorescence is available for high-security applications.

Small text printed with intentional errors (for authentication) that cannot be duplicated via most output devices (e.g. desk top printers, copiers or dyesub printers). This text is often blended into card artwork.
Color-shifting inks reflect various wavelengths in white light differently, depending on the angle of incidence to the surface. An unaided eye will observe this effect as a change of color while the viewing angle is changed. A color copier or scanner can copy a document only at one fixed angle relative to the document’s surface.
Thermochromic inks or dyes are temperature sensitive compounds, developed in the 1970s, that temporarily change color with exposure to heat.
A means by which two different colored inks are printed simultaneously on an offset lithographic press, used for spot color printing.
